Keylark Add Keylark to Chrome

For singing teachers

Accompany a pupil on the song they bring, without learning it first.

The song they bring

Your pupil brings a song on YouTube or as an MP3. Start it, press keys in time, and Keylark plays the song’s chords from what it hears, so your attention can stay on the voice.

Pupils who want to accompany themselves

A singer who doesn’t play can keep time on the keys at home and sing over it. Keylark doesn’t teach piano: it lets them play along tonight, and they choose when each note sounds.

A practice track of your own

Play along once, then save what you played as a MIDI file. Open it in GarageBand or any music program and you have the chords on piano, as you played them, to practise to without the record.

What you need

  • Chrome or Edge on a computer.
  • A MIDI keyboard, or just your computer’s keys A to K.
  • Wired headphones or the laptop’s speakers: Bluetooth makes every note late.
